What Are The Best iPhone & iPad Poker Apps?
If you would like to play a few hands of Texas Hold’em on your iPad or iPhone, there are a growing number of mobile poker options available to you. Here is our list of the best real money poker apps for iPhone’s and iPad’s.
#1 – Bwin Poker for iPhone / iPad
Bwin Poker is currently the only real money poker app available in the App Store. Unfortunately, the app is still only available to Bwin players in the United Kingdom and Austria, although Bwin do plan to launch the app in other countries over the coming months.
The Bwin.com poker app allows you play for real or for fun and comes with a handy tutorial to get you started. You can choose to play either Fixed Limit, No Limit or Pot-Limit and stakes range from $0.05/$0.10 to $3/$6.
The Bwin app also allows you to make withdrawals or deposits directly from your app providing you’ve already set-up a payment method.
Overall the Bwin Poker for iPhone is a great real money poker app that’s feature rich, with nice graphics and an easy to use interface. Bwin are currently in the process of merging with Party Gaming so expect to see a Party Poker app in the near future.
#2 – Switch Poker for iPhones / iPads
Switch Poker was the first iPad and iPhone compatible real money poker room. Switch Poker is a browser based so you don’t need to download or install an app, all you need to do is browse to SwitchPoker.com to start playing.
SwitchPoker was developed using HTML5 due Apple’s refusal to support Flash on any of their mobile devices. HTML5 is a relatively new standard and as a result the interface looks a little basic and simple compared to many Flash based “Instant Play” poker rooms. Overall, Swith Poker is a promising first step and the software does work work smoothly.
Coming Soon – Titan Poker for iPhones & iPads
